How to Bid at Estuary Auctions?

 

Before you are able to bid, you will need to create an account with us. Once your account is ready, you may register for our online auction or our live auctions. LIVE AUCTIONS

The excitement of live bidding is an exceptional experience that is only fully realized by those participating together in the auction room. You are encouraged to register in advance (24 h prior) by either visiting our auction house at our location or providing your details to our representative. Once you’ve registered to bid, you will be allocated a bidder number which you can show the auctioneer any time you would like to place a bid during the auction. At the end of the auction, our finance team will be available to take your payment. Please refer to our terms and conditions for more details.

ONLINE STREAMING

Enjoy the thrill and the excitement of the live auction from the comfort of your own home. You are required to register 24 hours prior to the auction. Please refer to our terms and conditions for more details.

ABSENTEE BID

First time bidders who are not able to attend the auction must first register before they are issued a client bidder number by Estuary Auctions after which they can fill out an ‘Absentee Bid’ Form. You may also place an absentee bid via your online account or by calling (us directly.) Please refer to our terms and conditions for more details.

TELEPHONE BIDDING

You may choose to bid via telephone while the auction is happening and a representative from our end will bid on your behalf. However, it is always recommended to also fill an ‘absentee bid’ form in case we are not able to reach you. Please refer to our terms and conditions for more details.

ONLINE AUCTIONS

We provide an extensive range of online auctions catering to diverse content and values, appealing to both potential and established collectors. Each auction features a predetermined duration, clearly stated for your convenience. Online bidding is exclusively conducted with fixed increments. You can easily browse the auction items online, and in select cases, we can arrange viewings for premium auction items. Buying At Auction – FAQ

 

A Buyers’ Premium of 25% will be added to every lot sold. Please be advised that from December 12, 2023 onwards, 5% VAT will be charged on top of the total buyer’s premium. Refer to our terms and conditions for further information.

For exclusively online auctions, once you’ve made a successful purchase, you may pay ONLINE through a payment link that will be sent to you after the sale. For LIVE auctions, you may pay by wire transfer; bank check (UAE bank); or other arrangements made with Estuary Auctions. For more information, visit our Payments page.

Estuary Auctions will guide you through our shipping process by connecting you with one of our recommended shipping companies that will be best suited for your item. You may contact us after sale at [email protected] or call us on +971 2 626 4666​. Alternatively, you may arrange for your own carrier services or collect your item directly from our offices. Once you have paid in full for your items, you may collect your purchased lots within (30) business days from the date of the sale. After the 30th day, storage charges will apply. Please refer to our Shipping and Storage guide.

Condition reports are available upon request. They are usually brief and contain an overall description of the physical state of a lot including its color, dimension and immediate visible characteristics. It is therefore recommended for buyers to personally inspect items at the viewing stage prior to purchase.

You are advised to fully insure your items prior to consignment. In the event that this is not the case, Estuary Auctions consigned items through a third-party insurer covering against loss or damage by Estuary Auction’s handling in which and if so then the Seller will be reimbursed the contractually agreed reasonable reserve price.
